Last year my uncle sold his 911SC. Not even a couple months later (though I just found out this morning because I suck at checking my email), he’s the owner of a kickass 2008 Cayman S!

This is Porsche #6 in the list of P-cars my family has owned over the last 40+ years. And it’s the first from the 21st century.

Sweet! A friend of mine just picked up a very similar car.

Any idea what he paid for it? Seems like these 987s are a great value right now, and probably aren’t done depreciating yet. Would love to pick one up some day down the road. Might have to buy an 09+ though...

Not sure. I know that I definitely want one because it makes more sense to get one of these than a 996 or even an early 997. I’m still unsure if IMS issues are widespread or apparent with Caymans so I’ll have to research that. But call me crazy, I’d rather go for the 2014-17 Caymans first. Caymans in general are the next kinda car I wanna own.

Damn, that’s V6 Mustang Monies! I wonder how Caymans compare to C6/C7 Corvettes. Used Vettes should be close in price.
