My dog was dropped off at a “doggy daycare” for lack of a better term. it rained for two straight days. She hates rain and baths, and was getting stir crazy. So off to play with other dogs! Well, the dogs gathered in a group, the group shuffled around and a dog got pressed up against a wall, freaked out and bit the closest dog. Mine.

I saw the video. It wasn’t a warning nip. It was a full bite. My dog, bless her heart, did absolutely nothing to retaliate, despite being significantly bigger. Vet cleaned her up, but not much else could be done (nothing to stitch). She’s got a cone of shame for a bit. Maybe a week or two.

Poor pups.

Dog still looks happy despite the boo boo. I guess it looks worse than it actually is. Too bad she needs the cone, though.

Aww, hugs and scratches..

Our pupper got a nose scratch like that at the kennel once too- it takes a bit to heal but good as new after that.

Labs always get scratched up because they’re such friendly goofballs..

That’s the lab in her. Notorious for not showing pain. She tore her ACL, and would run around outside to bark at stuff (her self assigned job) but need help up stairs at night.

You put enough dogs together, this will happen. You can only evaluate the dogs so much beforehand. They’re paying all very bills and the other dog got the permanent banhammer. They’re handling it properly.
