Lots of Lexus talk on Oppo lately... If you were a product planner at Lexus, what’d you have them build? I want a Sportcross with the 1LR-GUE from the LFA and a manual gearbox.

4th gen Supra with the best interior that modern day Lexus is capable of. Lots of quality materials, tons of sound deadening... And an electronically-controlled plate in the exhaust that can switch between normal out the back, or LOUD, dumping five feet before the exhaust tip
Oh and turn up the boost to handle the extra weight from the luxury stuff. God knows every part of the Supra can handle it. Gated shifter too because L U X U R Y. 200tw tires from the factory
I’d call it the Super-ra. Or... Something better

1UZ Manual IS300

A hatchback Sc300.

Yes! But make it a shooting brake. That would be the pinnacle of Western Civilization.

Simple - add a 3rd pedal to the GS-F; bring back the IS-F (also with 3 pedals); and while we’re at it, give us a Sportcross version of the IS.
And put the RC on a diet, FFS.

Realistically, id like another ISF. either the v8 or a boosted 6

more small CUVs of course!

I have a feeling Lexus wanted to make the current RC F on a light budget. Saving money by using the IS, GS, and IS C convertible’s chassis components seems like a good idea until you remember it’s supposed to be sporty .
In my opinion, they’d have sold more if they waited to put it on the TNGA-L chassis and saved weight. Making a “fast car” that’s a few hundred pounds heavier than its direct competition is just a bad recipe.

But I mean, 1LR-GUE...
I agree though, 1UZ “IS 400" would be epic.

Boosted inline 6...
Like, imagine a BMW M4 but with a modern-spec 2JZ and Lexus reliability...

Like, an actual hatchback, a-la Z3 Clownshoe?
Or do you want a liftback, like this 240?
I’m curious. Both ideas sound appealing with the 2JZ engine and a manual.

Would a portal-axle LC500 count?
This:
Like THIS:
That’s the only “small CUV” I want.

only if the ROI is high enough :) But I think you are right regarding a big SUV - a new higher end landrover based SUV with solid, good looking styling could make them a bunch of money too.

Bring back the FJ Cruiser as a Lexus and I’d respect that too :)

It would be awesome, but too exotic for an IS in my opinion.
1UZs can sound nasty

Actual hatchback

Heck yes. That’s the more Oppo choice too :D

And the reason I want a clown shoe. Even a non M. I know I could get a Z3 roadster, or just a 330ci for less, but it’s not a hatchback.

Sorry, late answer.. They should reinvent the minivan. Think Sienna body, but with a different underpinning not unlike a GS. Actual suspension and drivetrain, real build quality, and still tow or carry 4x8 sheets or childrens.

I think you nailed it. Holy mother of M156, Lexus oughta do this:
But with the 5.0 out of the LC 500 and Lexus reliability. That’s genius.

Yeah, I’m trapped there. I love my GS430 I’ve had forever, but I want it to be a wagon/van instead of a sedan to cover all my needs. Not a Sequoia (too heavy), 4Runner (too 4wd), Highlander and Venza (Too Camry). A Sienna on a GS chassis pan would be nuts.
