Nice. I really like these. One of my friends borrows his dads 4runner TRD every year when we go to the beach. I really like that truck.

National. I was deciding between this and a 2018 expedition. I’ve been wanting to drive the new expedition but it seemed a bit wasteful for the two of us.

My dad has a Tacoma too. This drives just as smooth on the highway. My only complaint is ours is a base model and the heated seats would be nice as it was 36 today here.

Cool. I’ve read Hertz has 4Runner too. National tends to have a better regarded fleet.

I like these a lot. Probably my favorite modern SUV. Underpowered in modern car traffic, but it’s comfortable and suitable for off-road.

I used to rent from Hertz regularly but I switched a couple years back. I’ve seen a few 4runners over the years at national but they are rare. Expeditions are more common where I travel.

I was surprised how good it did on the roads today. Most of the day the CC was set at 82mph and it did great. Seemed to handle highway speeds better than a 17 Tacoma.

The very basic spec Hertz fleet in many locations has alienated renters - to the point where they have a choose your car system like National in several locations, in an attempt to compete. National has been strong lately.

I think a significant amount of Expy production is for fleets, yeah.

I do miss Hertz sometimes but I am glad I switched to National. There are a few non-corporate Nationals that drive me nuts (SLC and Boise), so I’ll rent from Hertz there.

I have a crapton of Hertz points, which is why I have used them lately. Otherwise, for domestics, I prefer National or Sixt. In Europe, I’ve only rented from Sixt.
