After looking at TheDOk_2many toys post on the abandoned race track it remind me to look at a track of sorts soon to be finished where I live.

The test track and evaluation centre being built out at Dovenby Hall, Cockermouth, Cumbria had a few objections from some locals about noise.
Now you’d be thinking it’s a group of NIMBYs (Not In My Back Yard) complaining about nothing. But the village is just on the other side of a tree line and not some distance down the road like many Halls are in England.
So they had to cut back on a few things such as letting others use the track for meets, etc... and not sure how the new hotel (65 room) will go.
The track is coming on a treat.
