The rear driver’s side door won’t open from the inside, and will only open from the outside if you tie it to a Twingo going godspeed. I held the handle open and the latch looks fine, so it’s something deeper in. Gonna rip off the door panels to see what the heck is up, either that or do you guys have any helpful suggestions? Thanks. DOTS Jeep for your time. Edit: my car’s a 2013 CR-V, roast me all you want. I’m only 14 and it’s good for the time being :)

Sounds like child locks...

No, it’s literally only that one door. It doesn’t even have child locks, now that I think about it.

Yes, it does have child locks, and they work independently per door.

Open the door and look for a small black switch in the door jamb, may be in a rubber grommet. There’s usually a sticker indicating the switch and it’s operation.

Yeah. Florida laws are very bendable, and I have a permit that allows me to go anywhere anytime as long as a 21 year old is with me. Good thing I have 21 year old friends. I’m officially turning 15 on Wednesday.

The problem is that I have to pull reeeally hard in order for it to open, the door handle grinds against something and it all just feels off.

I’m a dumbass, was thinking of window locks (face palm) but no, it’s not the child locks. Just checked for extra measure.

Is the door hinge stop properly lubricated (not the main hinges, but the metal strip attached to the B pillar that stops the door opening too far)?

Otherwise I’d take it to the garage and have it looked at under warranty if it still is.

No, sorry mate. It’s beyond me.

If it’s the latch mechanism it could be several things.

I’d have a garage take a look and give me a quote. It’s a safety issue and needs looked at very soon.

Good luck mate.

I didn’t do anything.

It could be anything from something has worked loose, snapped off, needs lubricated, etc...

Sorry mate.
