I used to have a place like that, now i’m surrounded by other people. I liked that better...

Yeah, I actually agreed to move there after seeing another unit in the middle of the complex with a ground-level balcony overlooking the parking lot. Then they gave me this other one way in the back where it’s quiet, right by the lake, with a ground-level entrance but a basement apartment underneath, so it has a second-floor balcony overlooking the forest. It’s also a lot closer to the mailboxes, and there are probably 10 parking spaces per unit back there for some reason, so I can see about getting a second car and still having empty spots on both sides.

The only disappointing thing is that there’s a nice creek back in the woods, but there’s a big barbed wire fence blocking me from going back there.

you know, “they” come for your out of the woods at night...

(jealous, super nice to back to forest - you might even get some wildlife)

TERRIBLE! All those trees obstructing your sightline! When are you gonna chop them down?

I had one of those barbed wire fences around the creek at ours too. $30 pair of bolt cutters from home depot make quick work of that =p (assuming you’re not letting somebody’s cows out or something. Ours was from 50 years ago when it was ranch land)

It’s too new to cut. Not sure if it’s the apartment’s or just whoever owns the land back there, but it looks like it can’t be more than a year old. Better to just leave it intact.
