Speed is supposedly 64 km/h, like the NCAP tests. Mine is a Sportwagon, though, which I’m sure makes it much stronger!
Edit: According to BiTurbo228, this Alfa was weakened on purpose in order to test the windscreen. Phew!

Or it means there is more mass to crush the drivers compartment with...

[Clarkson voice]: “Relaaax, it’ll be fine!”
Honestly, though, I don’t really think that the larger rear end will somehow strengthen the A-pillar.

If I’m not mistaken a lot of Fiats, Lancias and Alfas shared the same Fiat Tipo underpinnings so there’s that.

Are you me from the past?
When I joined OPPO I had a V6 156 sportwagon in silver.
Now I’m Citroen, the man who owns Citroens.
Who are you? Are you here to kill me? If so you took too long, I’ve been waiting for years.

Yes, it’s related to the Tipo. I don’t know how much of the Tipo remains in the design - the suspension is different, at least.

That’s... Slightly unsettling. Maybe we’re each others conjugates, travelling through time in opposite directions. We definitely shouldn’t meet - who knows, we could annihilate like matter and antimatter!
Mine is dark grey, though I guess it could pass for being silver. Also, it’s not a V6, but a 2.0 JTS.

Just when you think it’s going to stop accordining, it just keeps going. That’s terrifying, especially if that’s really just 64kph(that’s 40 freedom units per hour for us Americans).

I’ve seen this aand it’s a little misleading. The video is actually a specific test conducted to test windscreen behaviour in a collision, and a lot of the front reinforcement has been removed.
Looks worse than a real crash would be.

Hang on, I own an Alfa and a Citroen. Does that mean that I’m an alterna-universe version of both of you from a place where all of time happens simultaneously?
Neat!

Thank you! I was honestly starting to worry a bit. Is there some more info about the test somewhere?

Do you also have a Maserati? And, since I’m pretty sure I’ve never owned one, does that mean I’ll get one later in life? That’ll be great!

My dad’s got two, one of which I’m wrangling for at some point as it needs a fair amount of resto work. So hopefully there’s a Mas in the future for both of us ;)

Yeah I remember being pretty concerned too first time I saw the cabin fold up :S
Not sure where I got the info from as it was quite a while ago now, but I seem to remember some discussion on one of the Alfa forums.
