All things automotive and sketchy can be found on Crazy Street.
PS: This car has been sitting here for a week solid and now has the orange Tow Me sticker on the window.

People love stealing those Accord Sport wheels.

19" wheels that fit damn near any Honda right? And I doubt a lot of owners get wheel locks, or that it isn’t difficult to break a wheel lock off.

Seems like someone would of witnessed that, not exactly a secluded place from the pics.

Snitches get stitches, right? One side of the street is the tracks and the other side is a big apartment complex. Probably, nobody cares.

Corporate knows Hondas, whether the whole car or parts have a reputation for being stolen. Corporate tells designers to come up with a good looking factory wheel. Corporate says don’t include wheel locks. Marketing pushes the sport line above all else in advertising. Corporate is satisfied as parts requests for replacement wheels come in daily.
Half Life 3 and Illuminati confirmed.

There is a 6th gen Civic in my neighborhood on bricks with a few tow me stickers on it.
I feel bad for them. Not like they can wait for an insurance claim to get their car moved. They almost need to go out of pocket to get the car moved/towed.

I feel bad for them as well. I’d assumed the car was stolen, but it could also be as you said.

If it was stolen, I doubt they would have removed the wheels out in the open like that.
They would have probably taken the doors and the driver’s airbag, too.

Check for understanding: you are suggesting that the car was not stolen since if it were, the crooks would be in possession of the car and would have taken their time to grab a few more goodies. That makes sense. As well, the car is closed and locked.
Also entirely possible is, given the neighborhood, insurance had lapsed or they are just waiting for the car to be repossessed. Or perhaps the latter and they stripped the wheels themselves.

Yeah. I would have taken more parts off the sucker. I think they stole the wheels from a parked car.
Your repo theory is also plausible. I didn’t think of that.

When my wheels got jacked I was very happy to have some free paver blocks. Those things cost money!

That’s a consideration for me in everything automotive: is somebody gonna wanna jack it?

Trying to find a rationale in a ghetto. (Now, some SJW will pounce on me for using
ghetto
as a White, middle-aged, Christian, straight, middle-class dude, but I will not feel defensive when that happens because I probably get more accomplished healing the world than they do. For example: #metoo needs to be about dudes standing up, and not women calling dudes out. )

I didn’t know that wasn’t a nice part of town. It just looks like street parking from here.

It’s nicer than other parts of town, but anytime there are lots of apartments, and given the seclusion caused by the railroad tracks, it’s kinda ghetto.
