I never liked these first gens, but the later ones were fine - almost bought one instead of the CRX-Si I wound up with.

And someone please tell me to STFU if you are all tired of hearing this, but for 30K you can have something with modern safety features. Compared to say a loaded FoST or even a FiST, this thing is a death trap. Get a Volvo T something. Get one of the last Saabs. Get something with a BMW logo. Get a Genesis anything. Get a loaded BRZ. Get a Phaeton for pity’s sake (and let me come over and drive it).

I suppose if you’re buying it to take to car shows and will put 1000 miles a year on it, that’s fine. But for even less than DD, it’s a bad idea. And I prefer being called a “knucklehead” to being called an “idiot,” but I’m open to anything else.
