I’m not sure if all these little things are Wilkinson Sword related, or just happen to be in this box. I also can’t figure out if that’s an old trademark symbol on them, or if it means they’re Chrysler/Rootes related. Basically, I have no idea what I’m looking at, do any of you? All I’ve learned so far is that Wilkinson Sword used to make motorcycles.

They look like custom tool bits used with a lathe
I recall my dad using similar looking tools on the lathe he had when he had his own small machine shop.

Seconding OC that these are thread dies for a lathe. I’m not sure what the numbering follows - I would assume that one number is the round stock diameter in inches and the other has to do with the pitch, but I don’t know what a “1 1/2“ thread pitch would be.
It looks like it could be a Whitworth thread profile, but unless you can find matches for some of it or actually measure the thread angle...

I suspect these are wood lathe tools and as mentioned elsewhere the box is unrelated.
The reason I believe they’re for wood is that they’re not soaking in oil, as most machine tools will be, along with the fact they don’t appear to have hardened/hard cutting edges.

Yeah, fair enough. Well I won’t go down the Chrysler/Rootes rabbit hole at least, probably just leave it at “random tooling”.

Yeah the numbers are throwing me off too. I’m hoping they’ll be the indicator of what threads these are for, but it’s gotta be pretty obscure.

Ooh interesting. The machine shop I briefly worked at didn’t keep their tools in oil either, but they definitely had hardened edges.

Well, they don’t always submerge them (although I have seen it), but they’re usually heavily coated.

They came in at my work with a bunch of stuff we purchased from a set sale I believe. Trying to decide if we’ll rent them as set dressing, or send them to our shop to be sold. Oh that would make sense, with the fairly large diameter these look to be made for. The trade mark on it is driving me nuts. A reverse GIS of the logo is getting me nothing. If it’s some company’s trade mark, that predates the ™ and ® symbols, that suggests they’re from before 1946, as near as I can tell.

Same, I have a Wilkinson Sword shaving brush that I never use. Berang pointed out that this is an old safety razor box. Cool, but I’m disappointed this isn’t motorcycle related tooling from the early 1900s

The logo is the Toledo pipe threading company.
Found that googling antique pipe threader. Im not sure if that’s what those things you’ve got are really for though.

After doing more googling on the Toledo pipe threading company. The numbers are for the trade size of pipe. I believe one number is pipe by trade size, the others are just to keep track of your dies. So the one you posted would be 1" 1a whatever that is and 1-1/2 and would be the 4th die.
