***NOT Selling*** I had a guy coming tomorrow and I had to write an apology, I’m not selling it.

As for the Power Wagon, I found a retired guy north of me through a military vehicle society, he has the gears I want and will swap my gears and rebuild my steering knuckles. I already pre paid for gears with Vintage Power Wagons but maybe I can get a refund, the gears aren’t even made yet. So if I sell the Merc and get the refund I have a few grand to just throw at the truck. I wish I knew about this guy before! I don’t see why they wouldn’t refund me since the things I bought aren’t even made yet.

I’ve had it for maybe 8 years now. It’s a good car, the tranny slips a bit but is fine for me, someone may want to rebuild it. Has a few little issues, has a power drain on the #2 fuse, I don’t know what on that fuse is doing it so I disconnect the battery when I don’t drive it much. It has an Optima red top in it. The interior is super nice, has original sheepskin covers and it’s a solid car, zero rust. I have a new project and I really want to do it, too many cars now. Maybe someday I will get a TD like when I was a kid, love those. I’m in Marin, Bay Area, it’s for sale. I know it needs a few things to be great, so I will try to $3k. I did install all new AC a few years ago because of my dog.

Hmmm. I’m all the way in DC, but that looks nice for a rust free w123. If it were manual I would honestly not even be debating it haha. This is really tempting, I don’t know too much about these, but I’m gonna have to ask around at some local shops to see what I can do to it.

I decided I’m not selling it, I didn’t really want to, so I’m not! My wife is ok with it. I thought she was gung ho to but apparently she is ok since I can’t get much for it anyway.

There was a Euro manual 300D for sale here in Bay Area Craigs, but it’s gone now. I’m always tempted when I see them. I want that metallic green they sold in Europe, or a TD in China blue.

Being in the DC area, lots of cool cars pop up, but they usually either have some rust (like all the Datsuns I desperately want) or get snatched up quickly (like the clean euros I want). One day I just have to bite the bullet and go for it.

Yeah, I got my 240Z from a shed in Santa Cruz, the old guy didn’t extend the post to San Jose, if he had some drift kids would have grabbed it I’m sure. You just have to try and be ready when it comes! My dad says don’t look until you can pull the trigger.

There’s a guy who lives across the street from my parents neighborhood, he has had this green 280z parked outside in front of his townhouse for YEARS. I remember being a kid and seeing the car and not knowing what it even was. It looked so out of place in the suburbs. Now I’m an adult (well, kinda haha) and everytime I’m at my parents place, I try to catch the guy and beg him to sell me it. He always says “no, it’s too fun!” The guy doesn’t drive it!! I’ve seen it move maybe half a dozen times since I was a kid.

Uncovered? Could have hidden rust in the dog legs. The 280 is a few hundred pounds heavier than a 240 and has awful bumpers you need to back date, early 260s are as far as I would go!

It usually has had a cover over it. And I know 280z’s aren’t the most desirable, but I’d be swapping the bumpers and whatnot anyway!

I don’t feel bad about swapping in an older JDM GTR motor into those since they are heavy, not as rare and the L28 is a heavy pig. They are bigger but so heavy, you can rev a 240Z high and use the lightness. I love the triple carb sounds though. You could take the bumpers off a 280Z, get fiberglass fenders and hood, lighter seats etc.. and probably shave a lot off. The body metal is actually thicker on those cars.

Yeah I’d love to be able to tinker around with the car. That’s what I love the most about S30's, the possibilities are endless, and supposedly they are easy to work on! I just wish I knew about them a few years ago lol.

Yeah, I had mine a little while and then they made that Petrolicious video, things seemed to really take off after that, I got notes on my car a lot with offers. Not it’s all done and I am not selling it, ever! Especially after all I had to go through to get parts I wanted!
