Because there’s 3 of them for sale in Hayward Wi. One of the ads mansions that these were army surplus trucks, at some point they were given to the Fire Department and when they were done with them the trucks were just put into storage.

Interesting, the Fire Department changes their trucks after only two years.

Idk the crew cabs are pretty rare, and the bodies look solid, which makes them extra rare in this neck of the woods.

Agreed. Price is a bit high, but within reasonable negotiable range.

Oh man! I think I want the cheaper red one most of all.

Unlike every other FD ever which keep their junk for 30+ years, some really cool stuff at times. One near my place is still operating a 1980s 4WD IVECO Magirus with a naturally aspirated, air cooled V8 Diesel.

That sounds cool but, if it’s a 1980s Iveco, it can only be up to 7 years old right.

These are my weakness. Oof.

So much want! The first thing I learned how to drive around the property was one of these. It was a Forest Service W350 Crew Cab with a 360 4 bbl. I really want one of these to haul stuff for renovations at my house.

How does the concept of time work where you’re from?
