The car has been dismantled to the heads before. Not sure if the heads were removed but shit not a single bolt was seized, even exhaust bolts have popped right out
Fuel rail keepers were hand tight
Injector o-rings were actually RTV
I’m scared of what the heads look like

Why are you pulling the heads?

_ WHO DOES THIS

People who don’t know RTV and gasoline don’t mix.

A: it overheated and then I’ve been getting vaping on warm starts
B: I figured a top end refresh would be a good idea
C: after starting the process it turns out B is a REALLY good idea

Gotcha.
I just know that people have trouble with the air bleeds and didn’t want you to pull the heads because of “overheating”.

I originally had problems with the air bleeds, which is what led to the overheating. I thought I got away with it until the vaping started
But a few hundred in parts is well worth the peace of mind

Just remember to take it easy with the coolant crossover tube during removal :)

I have a giant Irishman coming over to help, we’re gonna pull both heads in tandem and deal with the banjos later. I may do the AN fitting / flex tube mod but I’m undecided as of yet
That is what tells me the heads were probably not pulled. Those banjos are in there good

Ugh, you can get o-ring kits for like a dollar per injector, for crying out loud!

I kno rite?!
I’m beside myself. Not only that but the copious amount of RTV holding the intake mani on. Jeezus I thought I had missed a bolt on the rear, maybe one hidden underneath the EGR or something. Nope, Chuck Testa just RTV.
