1. A Mazda driver who should get a ticket.
2. A construction worker who should lose their job.
Although the video says the Mazda driver fled on foot, so maybe they really do need more than a ticket...

That Mazda driver was a dipshit, but holy fuck, that loader operator needs to be fired.

How the heck did that loader driver not see those cars coming?!

I’m guessing it went like this: “Fuck em’, they’ll stop, I’m bigger”.

Wow. Actual karma, too. The loader couldn’t have seen what the Mazda driver did earlier, and therefore wasn’t trying to punish him . It just kinda worked out that way.

That was a lot of nonsense packed into 30 seconds - regardless of driver stupidity, no one should have to pay for that with their life.
Good thing everyone was okay, but god damn...

Just thought I’d mention that VW seems to have great brakes. Decent reaction time too.

A regular golf hits that construction vehicle. Upgraded brakes in the GTI saved his/her ass

T hat was weird, Mazda was basically driving completely safely, signals and everything then kaboom, tries to run the GTI off the road, (clearly knew it was there, he has just pulled out from behind it.) And to have that construction site completely unregulated by flaggers is insane - in addition to whatever they do to the loader driver the GC needs to be fined...

I believe it’s a Golf R so yup

I think it might even be a Golf R

It is, you're right

Holy crap! How fast were the cars going when they finally saw the loader - 60 ? Looks like the operator committed around 0: 26 seconds. What a terrible decision - he’s lucky he didn’t kill someone. The two cars clearly thought he’d stop in the median, but it appears that the loader is too long to do so safely (with the bucket down, anyway).
Construction vehicles really need to be high visibility yellow.

Watched this a couple more times - t he Mazda’s mistake, and both drivers’ reactions to each other, made this situation as bad as it was. Look at how much distance they closed relative to the black SUV in front of them before the loader enters the roadway. The VW driver accelerated to get around, and then the Mazda sped up as well before they both saw the loader and realized it was coming across.
