A couple hours outside Detroit, Columbus or Indianapolis, there’s the home of Duesenberg (Cord) and it’s totally worth your time... photo dump follows!
I didn’t know i was a fan of boattail racers until today... now i really need one. Part 2 soon!

Agreed. A must visit for any self-respecting petrolhead.

One of my favorite museums that I’ve been to...though you probably could’ve guessed that.

I grew up in Ft. Wayne, so as a kid we used to go to the Auburn Cord Duesenberg festival every summer. I really miss those now that I’m in Texas...

For reference, the Auburn 852 Phaeton has about
the same wheelbase as a certain config of the current Toyota Tacoma, as well as the prior generation F-150 single cab short bed (I think), and a config of the final generation Dodge Ram Vans. Plus
other things. The current Navigator’s wheelbase
spans
from 122.5-131.6 inches. That’s not a small vehicle.

Road trip! Seriously, I’m not sure I could handle the sheer awesomeness of a parade of classics, I was lightheaded just looking at the static displays.
Anyone who’s interested, the festival arrives in Aurburn at the end of August every year, details here: https://www.acdfestival.org/
