If they buy these. Think about how rich you’d have to be, to think it’s worth it to buy pre-made PBJ sandwhiches, the easiest
food in the world to make yourself
.
brb while I go by all the uncrustables down at costco to flex on y’all.

Oh man those things are good, for the soul not so much the body

If you ever have children, you'll understand.

Now I need to try....

I’m poor and the peanut butter, jelly and bread I buy for my kids cost a lot more than that crap.
There’s a special place in hell for people who buy shitty PB&J supplies.

People who buy Uncrustables likely have kids who refuse to eat anything but Uncrustables and Kraft Mac & Cheese.

Actually, I think those are mainly for elderly people that have lost their teeth. They defrost into an easy to gum mush.

I guess it depends on the bread you use, since even good penut butter and jelly will make a lot more sandwiches
than a box of these. But if you use
a loaf of equivalent
cheap white bread, I can’t imagine
anyway these would be less
expensive
.

ikr, just wipe off the knife and put it back in the drawer, you don’t even need to actually clean it.

Yeah, the quantity will definitely save you coin in the long run . Plus the increased medical costs from feeding your kids fucking poison sandwiches.

I never stopped bitching when I found these in our freezer (wife bought for kids) since I get no respect (Dangerfield) they are now a staple. Not only are they gross they cost insane amounts more than the far superior og . Not to mention if your not eating your pbj toasted your really dead inside anyway.

I still think it’d have to be a lot of kids. Like at least 5.

*gets irrationally annoyed at people that dont eat the crust on bread* stop wasting perfectly good food argleblargle!
i think just seeing those things in a shop would probably give me some kind of crisis
(course... im currently boycotting my supermarkets bread section... french stick is not supposed to be soft and squishy on the outside ferfucksake argleblargle!)
( now spends almost double at the local bakery.... much better)
i take my bread seriously :p

Or leave it out for use the next day because your poor and will be eating pb&j tomorrow too

I used to laugh, but I get it now. I can put a frozen PB&J in my kids’ lunches, which thaws slowly while keeping the other items cold. By lunch, everything is perfect.
It’s a miracle of thermodynamics.
Price-wise, the premium vs DIY is pretty small compared to a lot of things, and the reduction in prep time and mess is worth it (unless you’re making 4+ sammiches at once, then I’ll DIY).

Ironically, if you’re making more sandwiches it’s easier to do it right (one setup, one cleanup, several sandwiches). These are for when you just need one quickly.

I bought them once just for the nostalgia. We got theme on half days, and field trips in grade school. And I remember loving them then.
As an adult they are alright.

But what about Goober?

I get these for my kids, and no shit, they actually tear the ring that’s the two pieces of bread fused together off.
Yes, think there’s crust on an Uncrustable.

These are so, so disgusting.

Have you ever eaten one?

So gross.
![]() 01/02/2019 at 15:49 |

Yep, surprisingly decent. Maybe 2
0% worse than a homemade
PB&J. Compare that to, say, Hot Pockets, which are 90% worse than everything.

Maybe I got a bad box or one that had been freezerburned. I had to spit it out!

It happens
. If
they’re fresh enough and
thawed slowly
(fridge) they should come out just like regular bread. I think we go through them too fast for burn to set in...

I used to eat these a lot when I got free lunch in HS. Not many other vegetarian choices. I could get one of these and a bag of chips for the $2.50 or whatever I got in credits per day. I care much more about nutrition these days. For instance, I’m having a peanut butter and apple sandwich with carrots and hummus today. As the rock recently said, same kid, same shit, slightly better view.
