Yeah, something just seems off with a $30 wheel.

Alibaba is a B2B site, so those pricing are wholesale prices, when you buy them in pallets . They do go that low, retail margins are that high.

Source: have friends who used to work at a wheels wholesale.

If only I found these when I was buying my replicas for winters I’d get those.

How a lot of Alibaba stuff works is business to business transactions.

So, very few people are probably buying from that seller to put on their car. However, companies may well buy them, mark them up to $80-100/wheel, slap their own name on them, and sell them as their own.

I inquired because honestly at that cheap I could get them and if they dont seem too well built or sturdy its not a big deal. Worst case. I make a cool coffee table or something fun

They’re the same “replica” wheels you get at a local tire shop. I have them on mine.

oh yeah, mark-up on stuff like this is insane. even worse I think for mattresses.

although if these are being sold that cheaply in quantities of 1pc, then they’re probably still pieces of shit.

Well by the time it hits the retailer you would’ve gone through 2 levels of profit, there’s wholesaler/distributor as well.

This would probably end up being a $ 1-200 wheel at the stores . We have tons of those, almost everyone getting winter tires here have those or steelies. I even saw mine on a Honda Odyssey once, lol.

So you think these would be usable? I have an E34 and would love this style if they were actually something thats not gonna kill me

I think the real cost would be to ship them out from China. Shipping 1 set of wheels aren’t exactly cheap, courier vs a shipping container sailing for a month.

A buddy of mine custom ordered crazy light magnesium wheels from one of the Ali sites... Disturbing. They were pretty ugly but strong and lightweight .
