Thank you all for being part of the best little corner on the internet. I hope everyone is enjoying the day and spending time with loved ones.
As for me, I’ll be heading up to Albuquerque this morning for the family’s Christmas gathering at my parent’s house this evening. The trailer will be tagging along with me, as I’m going to bring my Dad’s miata back with me and do a timing belt service and tune up on it next week.
As a side note, after 15+ years of often hooking up trailers by myself, today’s back up cameras are wonderful for this purpose.
Yesterday afternoon was perfect 60 degrees (hey, were expecting snow later this week!), so the truck got a much needed bath. Nothing fancy; just a two bucket wash with some Meguire’s ultimate wash and wax. All the houselopnik projects had resulted in car and truck washing getting pushed to the back burner for last few months.

The truck is so trucky! I love it. This is what people should be doing instead of buying luxo-barge trucks

Can Las Cruces handle snow or does it get shut down like El Paso?

I seriously thought the red F150 was a power wheels toy you were towing. Now I'm disappointed.

You know you’re truck is basically the modern bronco that so many are crying for. And won’t get.

There is a glitch in the matrix

No, it's pretty much like El Paso where everything shuts down for a dusting. These people struggle to drive in the rain when that happens.

It feels kind of like the spiritual successor to the Bronco. Utilitarian, comfortable enough and not expensive (by today’s truck prices).

Unlike the luxo-barge trucks, I could afford to buy this one. Almost two years in and I still love it. It does exactly what I bought it to do, and does it well with nothing (like a back seat) I don't need.

And most important that short wheelbase makes it less work to navigate on and off road

Whoa! Two regular cab short bed trucks in the same picture!
If I didn't have kids to cart around, that's what I'd have.
