I was always told to check out the Pavillions car show. Today, I realized that it is literally half a mile from work.

I usually work weekends, and during that time, I would always hear cars revving, 2-stepping, and peeling out. I never put two and two together that it was a show taking place across the freeway.

It was your quintessential car show. Lots of STis, EVOs, Miatas, and crotch rockets. There are the few that I found to tickle my fancy the most. I did forget to take a pic of the 911 next to the malibu, that on was particularly sweet too.

I wish I was living back in SoCal! I’m im Phoenix, but this particu la r show as in Scottsdale. So your theory about no one in SoCal may still be true haha

and I didn’t unfortunately. it was a small event and I walked by the Abarth multiple times, throughly examining the area for the owner. I was dying of curiosity to hear the new exhuast, after t he teaser on youtube. never did see anyone who looked liked the owner each pass-by.

This show is on the border of Scottsdale and an Indian reservation. Supposedly the longest running car show in America.

Fuck SoCal.

Ah, my bad, I forgot you were in AZ now.

I did have a moment of mental dislocation when I saw a 240 sedan the last time I was down there; I thought I had been teleported back to Portland. Then I realized it was way cleaner than any 240 I’d seen in Portland so it must still be SoCal :P

Dang, too bad about the Abarth. There’s a good chance I’ll be Turo-ing one next time I’m in Irvine, so I’ll be sure to report on the exhaust note.

Ayyy, that’s my car! I always try to get out to the Pavs, it’s cool to catch up with all my car buddies and see what’s out there. Not as many BMW’s came out this week but I still had a good time as always.
