No te the gold adapter plate.

Still have to rebuild the turbo manifolds and make the Down pipes, then figuring out how I route oil drains past all the exhaust.

Is the 1UZ starter truly that much of a pain to replace? Asking for a friend...

This is really nice, don’t get me wrong—but if I’m correct in assuming that this is going in the SC engine bay, wouldn’t a 1 or 2JZ have been simpler and similar in cost? Or am I just way off on the cost and availability of that engine and transmission?

Or maybe you wanted a sweet turbo-V8...

With a stock automatic it's just about removing the intake, with the manual swap already installed its removing the trans and adapter plate to get the bolts out.(and the intake)

It would have potentially cost more because I’d be spending however much to buy a motor, then I’d need to buy turbo manifolds(rather then make them), get a plug and play megasquirt(because why wire one up if I can just buy one that works), buy a supra 6 speed which isn’t cheap , and then I’m left with the similar horsepower on stock internals that weighs more and is more common.(and less desirable torque curve)

The 1uz was used because I have a bunch of experience with the motor, i had 2 50mm turbos from my rearmount sc400 , and I already have a 6 speed swap .(with the jz I’d have to get a different adapter plate for $$$) When it comes down to it I wanted to build something, the jz path has been well worn over the years, I would learn a lot less by swapping that then making this.

I did seriously consider a 1gzfe v12 because they can be had with all the harness and trans within my budget. But the sump placement was wrong, horsepower would be been less, and manual swapping would be out of the question(I do want to swap an ls400 though if those motors stay cheap)
