Just a head of curve.

Its funny to see how GM is sometimes just too far ahead of the curve. Some did ok and some failed. Partly because Big GM and was poorly executed

Mid Engine small car (Fiero )

Turbo v8 (Pontiac 301 cu in)

Turbo v6 (GNX)

2000's Turbo DI (Colbalt SS)

Adventure CUV (Aztek)

Sport SUVs (Typhoon)

Sport Trucks (Cyclone, SS 454)

AWD SUVs (1991 Bravada)

They both look cheap and fake IMO.

The 2nd one at least looks ergonomic and uses proper buttons/knobs.

this shows just how important proportions can be.

And if Pontiac could build Aztek affordably, a bit of a stamping change could have made it look killer, for the same money... it doesn’t take lamborghini money to do it. The power, build quality, and luxury markup is what takes the Lamborghini money to do.

If they had just infused a bit more Rageous concept into Aztek, it would have been Urus before its time.

yup.

Do it first, or at least early-on.

Do it half-assed, because b ureaucracy is the corporate motto .

Cancel it, because it was half-assed, before the revisions can make it truly right.

Someone else does it right afterward.

Arguably Volt, especially t he Voltec 2 drivetrain methodology, could be included in that list as well. Better engineered that most other PHEVs, a rguably it is as good or better than the similar methodology in the $ 150K BMW i8, and could be re- tuned for performance, rather than boring economy... but V olt is now cancelled.

How I wish someone would make a new Fiero mid-engined successor with a performance-tuned Voltec 2 drivetrain with Bolt front drive unit...

GM is unlikely to do it at all , and especially unlikely to do it properly right out of the gate.
