The feds continue to use 727s for miscellaneous tasks. This was decomissioned I think in 2012 because it still has the Calderon logos.

I assume the logos that were in use when Felipe Calderó n was president. Presumably subsequent presidents have redesigned the logo, or each president created their own #branding.

That’s what I figured, but I had never heard of presidential branding. But I’m also not ruling this out as the next Air Force One.

Finn is right; each president has their own set of logos for the government, its their way of showing they’re in charge; politics in my country is very primitive

Is it primitive in that it is meant for a mostly illiterate populace? And I don’t mean that insultingly. I have seen ballots were you tick the party logo, not the name of the candidate.

Have you ever heard of the Weber theory of legitimacy?

We’re basically in the “Charisma” phase; where legitimacy of government depends on what people see of it. So Calderon, Nieto, and Obrador’s first act was to change all of the government-related logos to let people know shit has changed.
