In case you missed it, my team sucks. Because of this, I’m probably not gonna watch much football today. That, and I have to finish my Christmas shopping today since this next week is about to be hell at work.

One thing that I’d like to see come out of this dumpster fire of a season is the Browns win their division. It could actually happen, and it’s not even totally far-fetched.

I’ll be in the car a lot, so I’ll probably listen to the Dolphins-Vikings game early, and the Patriots-Steelers game late. Virtually every other game seems likely to be boring.

So, at this point in the season are you looking forward to your team in the playoffs or to your team in the draft?

My team is the Browns, so yeah, I'm looking forward to the playoffs. This is our year. I'm going up to Cleveland to see them beat the Bengals on the 23rd.

Dolphins and Seah aw ks fan, the season has been interest ing to say the least. It is disappointing to see the Broncos flat out suck, but a part of me grins because I do n’t care for Horseface one bit.

Unless your team is the Cleveland Browns, you don’t get to claim your team sucks.

I think the loser of Pat s/Steelers is doomed to a first round loss with their suckitude, or even missing the playoffs due to some crazy end of season math.

S it’ll be a stressful game for me.

I'm pulling for the Browns, because the NFL needs some top to bottom churn.

I just hope we beat the Packers today. It would be nice to eliminate them officially, and practically clinch the division.

I don’t have high   hopes for the playoffs though.

Two weeks ago I thought the broncos had a good shot at the playoffs, then they went and laid two eggs. One of which was against the 49ers which would’ve screwed up their draft pick if every other garbage team hadn’t won too.

Uhh... if your team is the Cleveland Browns, you’re not allowed to claim they suck anymore. I’ve watched a bunch of their games this year and they have a good core of talent now. And they actually fired their terrible coach instead of leaving him to stink up the whole year like they would have in the past. Oh sure, Cleveland-ish things still happen to them. Like when that Broncos player got ejec ted and and the Browns player acted a fool and also got flagged, causing the penalties to offset and bring up a 3rd-and-14 instead of getting a first down. But this feels different to me, like they might actually have a way out of the darkness this time.

The Pats seem off this year, I agree. If they don't get a bye, they're probably screwed.  And the way the Steelers have been playing I think they’ll find a way to miss the playoffs completely.

The 49ers game infuriated me. I was willing to give Vance another year, but the whole coaching staff needs to go now. To leave the one decent player (Kittle ) open so much that he nearly set the single game yardage record for a tight end was utterly incompetent. Yes, Chris Harris was injured, but that's not an excuse.

I think next year will be their year to really make waves. They’re doing well at learning how to win this year, but they're still green.

Do not buy into the false hope. The Browns are why I stopped giving a shit about football.

Oh, sure, it’s good right now. Know what happens next year? They decline to re-sign all of the core talent because Haslam doesn’t want to spend the money. The ones still under contract get traded 1 for 2 ‘prospects.’ They draft three quarterbacks with two of them under indictment and the third still on crutches.

Then Jimmy spends all season bitching about a lack of support from the fans and lack of attendance after raising the prices on the Personal Scam Licenses and season tickets again, and demands the city give him $50M to “ renovate” the stadium again which consists of slapping on paint, selling more sponsorship space, and demanding a new fully enclosed stadium paid for 100% by taxpayers  again .

Stupid Cowboys and Giants taking goose eggs against the Colts and Titans, causing the Texans to not clinch the division yet.  Also, I was cussing a lot yesterday.

I’m just going to pop in here to comment on how weird it is that NFL announcers routinely refer to Russell Wilson as ‘Russell’ rather than ‘Wilson’. The only other QBs where they use the first name are Cam Newton ( but that’s at least a nickname, and shorter than his last name), and Eli Manning (which may be because of the desire for instant differentiation from Peyton and Archie). Neither of those cases applies to Wilson.

I was probably cussing more. The Broncos are undisciplined, the schemes are bad, and the coach has poor decision-making skills. Other than that, they're fine.

I don’t know why, but I think I prefer that they say “Russell” instead. I think it sounds better than “Wilson”.

Who’s going to be your new HC? The fans who were sitting around us at the Texans-Broncos game were proclaiming that you’d get a new one this off-season.

We should. VJ just keeps showing that he isn’t ready.

Problem is, I have no idea who it should be. Specifically, I do NOT want to see a first-time head coach ever again. I want someone with experience. I'd even take Wade Phillips at this point.
