It’s practically a violation of the Geneva Convention to do this. While it’s not a VIN (those rules aren’t exactly set in stone either, for example Chevelles have an 11 digit vin and Beaumonts have 10). Names have been redacted (with black tape). This is an electrified trucker angerer. I’ve been in the angry trucker business for some time. Before that I was in the angry drunk trucker business, so I get to see old friends often. (had the nickname “DUI GUY” and I don’t even drink.)
anyway, it is not cool to include forbidden characters in a serial number, might as well toss in some roman numerals and emojis if we’re not respecting the rules anymore.
Get off my lawn!

I remember Brian Regan did a stand-up bit where he joked about getting a confirmation code like “1100OO01IIlQ0OO01Il.”

And as an aside, this is why GM VIN plates look so weird. Numbers which can be confused for letters are printed in an odd, angular typeface.

I worked in a shop that damaged a dash vin cutting out the windshield. For about six weeks it sat there, not legally being a vehicle until Mazda could fabricate a r eplacement. they sent a sticker.
