A Civic that costs close to a used NSX but is slightly faster than an S2000 on the track.
Still want one though.

Im happy they offered a 6 speed manual, not convinced by the styling but I'm sure it would grow on me

they are pretty rare, I think I’ve seen maybe two RIL on the last 10 ten years. the first time was in 2008 when they were new and begin the Honda fanboi I was at the time I was amazed. Really it wasn’t all that better than a noral Si. from a 2008 Car and Driver article
“ Si with a body kit, sport exhaust, and revised suspension. It looks like an import tuner’s dream: a huge, big-bore exhaust tip; sexy GP 18-inch forged aluminum wheels; side skirts; an aggressive air dam; and an A380-sized rear wing” power wise it had the same 197 hp.

Friend of mine has one. It’s aight. Not worth the premium over the regular one. Has the typical 8th gen cosmetic issues .

I test drove one years ago, when they were still new. I liked the styling but not how it drove. I thought the 9th gen drove better but they still had the QC issues on the paint so I ended up buying a TSX instead...same drivetrain (minus the LSD) in a nicer package. But eventually I wanted more power and AWD so I traded that in.

The acuras seems like the better deal, I'm sure they are devaluing nicely too considering how many beat TSX's I see.

They are. 1st gen TSXs are in the 3-5k range now and 2nd gen sedans are f alling into the 6-10k range. (The wagon is another story...) You don’t see as many of them ruined as you do Civics of the same era, but it’s also not a rare sight. I ended up with an AWD TL, and at 32 I’m one of the youngest owners of one.
