someone around here ha a integra with some loud and stupid exhaust setup. If I wanted to listen to that BS i’d go ride my lawn mower through a gravel pit.

Kids these days....they’re on my lawn...
but yeah..had a 66 mustang with some sort of loud mufflers on it (can’t recall...it’s been a while) and loved it back then (along with the too-rich exhaust and low-level gasoline smell in the cab). Now, I’m all “ye gods”.

The good type of loud is the one you hear when you crack it open past the usual city and cruising revs.

That's why I want dumps. Quiet when I want it to be, loud when I want it to be.

Simple solution: Get longer glasspacks.
I put a 48" long single glasspack on my truck, and it sounds pretty good, deep and mellow
, though it does resonate in the
cab
a bit at a certain speed/rpm
.

I still haven’t installed my steelpacks, but I’m going to. I am 33 but also about 12.

i had a buddy who ran them on his beat to shit farm truck. From a half mile away you could easily hear him. Truly deafening inside the vehicle.
Semi-related: In high school some friends of mine were working on their car when in shop when it backfired loudly. The principal came out of the building thinking it was a gun shot. (these were the days when a suspected gun shot didn’t mean a sway team would show up. we were also rural if you can’t tell).

45-70 year old people: Gee, this Infiniti V6 sure sounds a lot like those street racing kids. I think I’ll sell it .
20-year-old second owner: Good thing I don’t need to bother buying an exhaust!!

The muffler sheared off on my girlfriend's 2006 Civic Ex Coupe (5 speed) recently. She panicked and brought it home and took my car to work. I drove her Civic around for 2 days before getting it fixed, and I had a shit eating grin on my face the whole time. I'm 32 but I rarely act it.

Fo r a while we had a 4cyl YJ Wrangler with an exhaust that hadn’t completely let go but was on it’s way there. It would rasp and pop and bang like a (slightly less revvy) classic British roadster. Whenever I’d drive it I would overrun it everywhere I went.
