that is good political satire...

(And I almost feel bad for May at this point, many  of her own folks have turned against her, abandoned by the trumpster she was counting on to mitigate the economic agreements, her entire political investment is going up in flames...)

I could figure out a couple that are more tasteless than iconic. Iconically tasteless?

To be fair though, this was on point satire and it would have been valid regardless of gender in a similar situation.

However, now that May her self has decided not to pursue a parliamentary vote on Her Precious, one could argue that it is no longer relevant.

I saw someone quoted as saying the best way to understand this mess is to imagine that 52% of Britons voted to build a submarine out of cheese, and May was tasked with carrying out the construction.

Of course I really don’t get the opposition to having another vote, now that it’s (hopefully) clear that the promises of B rexiters were just fantasies and fabrications. It seems absurd that they can have elections and change governments, but that the outcome of a referendum won by a slim margin absolutely must stand in stone, even if new facts change people’s opinion (if people’s opinions haven’t changed, then there is no problem with a new referendum) .
