His chart on rap vocabulary is fantastic. And he posted on Reddit today that he’s updating the info for it to include

It is available to play with. The maps are made in SVG, an open-source platform for combining raster and vector graphics. https://www.w3.org/TR/SVG/
All you have to do is find a place to host your web pages and learn how to code what you want to see. Start with the tutorial: https://www.w3schools.com/graphics/svg_intro.asp

I love this thing, and refer back to it regularly. My favorite map infographic ever.

That wind map is one of my favorite things; I’ve probably had it bookmarked for 10 years? Is that possible??? It seems like a long time.

The population of the city hasn’t really changed in the last 25 years, but current metro area population is 10 million - guessing that’s up considerably from ‘90.

Weird, it doesn’t look like that in the interactive version.

I’m seeing some tall spike s in odd places. I think it’s counting prisons too .

I see one dramatic decrease spike since 1990 in what’s effectively cornfields, so I imagine there’s some dubious data in various places.
