When we bought our Jeep, the driver’s seat had a crack in it. I haven’t been able to identify whose covers they are to replace the front seats, so I’m going to try to fix this blemish. What are oppo’s suggestions.

I would take that to local upholstery shop and have them fix it. They’ll take off the cover and sew in a new piece of material for that panel of the cover. Especially if you don’t have to have a truly perfect match on the material (and you show with some cash and don’t necessarily care about a receipt) , I’ve had panels like that replaced for less than $100.  Even if you want a perfect match, give them a few days and they’ll order the material.

Gorilla tape is tougher and black to match.

Gaffer tape is also tougher, and doesn’t have a shiny finish.
