Constipation would be preferable to my problem. I keep rejecting everything in my digestive systen; then, my body does not absorb my anti depresant and anti anxiety meds.

I like almond milk better than regular milk, but cooking you need regular milk. I see the allergist next week. Hopefully they give helpful information.

almost everything that needs milk can be replaced by a different brand that just needs water

Same but the sickness is too bad. I can still have some ice creams. :-) Coconut and Almond ice cream is really good.

Assuming lactose intolerance and not bovine protein intolerance/allergy: There are lactose-free cheeses. You can get lactose-free ice cream (real ice cream, not coconut crap). This depends on where you live, though, not all places/markets are the same.
Just watch out for lactose in things like flavoured potato chips - no, I’m not kidding. Some s aus ages (salami, etc) may also contain it. Many snack foods like granola bars have milk products to add protein.
In 6 months you’ll know everything you can and can’t eat. And you’ll have a bottle of lactase pills with you for the times you don’t know or can’t choose.
Chin up, it’s not so bad. I remember waking up 4 days after going cold-turkey off of dairy. I felt like a million dollars, and I didn’t even realise that I was unwell before!
