The good news it’s that car is most likely snow hooned on a regular basis.

Using an AWD car in winter.
I see no issue here, that car’s likely seen more fun than most.

Edit:
What? Stuck behind a 2003 Chevy Malibu?
Otherwise looks to be pretty sharp.
The Rust it burns!!!

Can confirm. Mazdaspeed6 is a blast in winter. Four wheel drifting hurray.

Agreed.... such a blast (once you switch off the stability control).

just summed up m y car as well. man is its a pain with the tracton control on. Throttle says “I want to goooo” and traction control says “ NEIN!”

The traction control/stability control system on the Mazdaspeed 6 was actually quite good. It tended to stay out of the way until things got a little squirrely, and then did a VERY good job of aiding the driver to keep things out of the pucker zone.
Snow donuts in a parking lot were essentially impossible with the system engaged. But once off, it was FUN! And thankfully, there were no complicated gyrations to input to disable the systems: just a single push button switch on the dash, and donuts were ON!

Oh, I know AWD is awesome in the winter. Just sad that MN salt is already taking its toll on it.

Yeah, that's what caught my eye.

I wonder how that happens, my Mazda is a 2006 and has none of those problems. They use salt and MgCl here too....
