How you manage to fuck up a million or so preorders for Super Smash Bros Ultimate (ranging from silently raising taxes to declining on “false billing addresses when it’s bullshit) I will never know. At least one of my colleagues has the good fortune of helping me and they work for your store, holy shit.

They let people preorder (ship to store) Harry Potter Funko Pop advent calendars and then sold half of them to random customers when they came in. I don’t trust them at all.

I’m pleased to say I haven’t been in that pawnshop since 2007. Went in to buy Mass Effect on launch day, and was told I should preorder next time. Walked over to Target and bought it there instead. I have no interest in being blamed for the fact Game Stop is bad at being a store. In any event, I assume the next generation of consoles will ditch physical media, and that will finally kill off the place.

The only time I’ve ever been to GameStop was this past spring while I was cleaning out crap before a cross-country move. I had an old PS3 Slim and some controllers that I had meant to sell on Craigslist but never got around to it, and didn’t have time to deal with the usual Craigslist nonsense. So I took it to GameStop and they gave me like 50 bucks. Hey, it’s something!

i always feel sorry for gamestop/mania employees... having to try and upsell all kindsa crap with everything....i know they have to... but i still hate em for it... and then i feel sorry for them... as im pretty sure everyone hates them for it
but yeah...tbh.. the only reason i order/pre order from them every now and then is coz i like having a vidja game store in town where i can browse through games in person and dig through the bargain bin

I went there to try to get a new power supply for my xbone because it was the weekend and I wanted to play since I don’t really have time during the week and it was gonna be like $75 for a USED one, for a 3 year old console. So I said fuck t hat and ordered it online for $18 anyways and just didn’t get to game that week.
