Salsa should not contain chives. Onion, yes. Chives, no.

Kinja'd!!!

This monstrosity came with my breakfast burrito. No apologies for the poor quality of the photo. Salsa with chives doesn’t deserve to be well presented.

That’s not salsa, it’s a salad.

I’ve made kickass salsa with chives, but you need to cut them a lot smaller than that. Same with those tomatoes. Looks like someone half assed your salsa.

I take it you aren’t into spicy foods.

For those not in the know....

P.S. Picante sauce =/= salsa.

It’s from the “Bistro” at the hotel. It’s like they brought in one of those celebrity chef shows where they do a makeover on a restaurant and put their own special spin on the menu. In this case, everything on the menu is just a little screwed up.

I don’t want your fancy “spicy” ketchup or garlic aioli or green goddess ranch with my fries! Just give me some plain old Heinz, please.

Ah yes, “artesian salsa”.

I was in Milwaukee all of last week for meetings. One of the most terrible things in the world is the “Mexican” food there. Holy shit, the spirits of my ancestors all screamed in horror as I looked at the most neon green, um, maybe it was chili verde? And the neon orange...whatever it was. There was a roasted salsa that had zero heat. It looked spicy, but was bland. Never get Mexican food in Milwaukee.

Also, after seeing the huge quantities of salt on the ground in the snow and ice, I understand why I didn’t see many, if any, older cars floating around, even at the Elk’s Lodge.

We stopped at a new mexican restaurant and grocery over the weekend (this was in Louisiana). The salsa they served was so bland I thought it was Prego. Really, it was more like a tomato sauce than a salsa. The rest of the food was also off. We figured they must be from central Mexico instead of the border. When my (hispanic) wife asked for the check (cuenta), the waitress corrected her to cuánto. That confirmed it, they aren’t from northern Mexico and they aren’t serving TexMex as we know it.

That sauce is a little different.  I know the one you mean.  And, believe me, it will be better than what you get in Milwaukee.

That's not even salsa. It's just some veggies chilling in juice.

It’s the wrong  veggies chilling in juice! Well, at least one of them was wrong. A few others were missing.

I’m ok with chives but this still looks bad and they should feel bad.
