I heard about a guy that used the light from a B52 landing gear...
...the on time was unexpectedly short, but didn’t need to be long.

Me too.
I have backup lights on the rear bumper of the truck that are just old-school spotlights. And they have a totally independent toggle on the dash. I have used them and it worked exactly as well as you would think.

My cousin may or may not have put offroad lights under the rear crossmember of his Rover with a dash toggle. “I don’t have backup lights, so...” Could be used for this.

My grandfather actually did this. He was an aircraft mechan ic in the USAF in the lat 70s(I think?). I cannot confirm if it was from a B52, but he definitely had a aircraft landing light on the roof of his car to wa rd off tailgaters.

Was on the Edens expressway recently someone cut me off and then used something like that on me. Then later tailgated me in the right lane with bright lights. I didn’t break check exactly but slowed way down. Passed me on the shoulder screaming out the window.
