Not gonna lie, this color combo is neat. While searching for an image of the configuration , I noticed it doesn’t exist on the Toyota US or Canada site . ¯\_()_/¯

To be honest, I dig the car. It’s funky enough looking to work for me.

There’s one identical to that running around my neighborhood. Head turner for sure.

Fairly practical too. I wouldn’t
ever want to
sit in the back seat though.

Yep, in the
sea of boring that was the large lot, it was a standout.

Still bitter about the R-Tuned version:
Turbo, with 600 hp
Stick shift (Same E-series ‘box as the MR2 Turbo)
Minimal lag when you hit the gas, good turbo
275-section tires all around
Sub-3000 pound curb weight
Guess which of those attributes we get in the US?
NONE.
2.0-liter NA engine
CVMFT only
LAG from above CVMFT
Skinny SUV tires
3,400 lbs
I think it looks cool, in a funky Juke-y way, but that doesn’t begin to make up for what it could be, but isn’t.

Nope, we looked at one when we bought my wife’s RAV4 and I tried sitting in the back. I did not fit at all...

It should’ve been offered in that colour here in Europe too.

Great chassis, great handling, good looks, if only the engine & transmission where like the 1st three.

Toyota hasn’t the plums to compete with the BASE MODEL Juke:
Turbo
Manual
AWD available
C-HR is a joke in USDM form. At least you can get it as an AWD hybrid elsewhere.

The first time I saw a two-tone one, I figured it was fresh off the dealer lot and the porters didn’t pull the white film off. I’m still unconvinced that that is not the case.

The color was 2018 only:
They are mixing up the 2 tone options and offering different ones now for 2019.

C-HR is my guilty pleasure. I think it’s very tastefully funky in a way the Juke wasn’t. I wish I could get a CX-3's running gear in a C-HR’s body.

This is puzzling.
The US site shows the other blue with a white top was available at one point.
www.toyota.com/configurator/color/
The Canadian site doesn’t show it at all.
And then there’s this:
What’s going
on here
? Maybe the one I saw was a special order for a dealership to use for promotion. ?

IIRC it’s AWD 1.2T, or FWD hybrid, oddly (even though there’s two different AWD rear motors they could’ve used for the hybrid).
That said, there is an AWD hybrid C-HR for the US market, and it gets a more powerful 2.0 too:
(Basically, product segmentation is what’s going on here I suspect.)

I recall someone on Oppo saying that it was offered in North America (or at least one of the countries). Maybe it was later discontinued.

That 2.oT from the Lexus, in the Corolla hatchback. Add a nice LSD.
Please, Toyota, just make one “fun car” for us enthusiasts. None of the “too slow” or “no manual.” Just a quick, manual car that’s reliable AND has performance cred.

Not a bad looking car. There are a few companies in the U.K. doing after market things like Fensport.co.uk with the TRD front bumper.

That one’s not the 2.0T, just a naturally aspirated 2.0 - same engine as the Corolla hatch (except the hybrid version, and a bit more total power due to being a hybrid).
The NX has the 2.0T, though.

Actually, I have driven the UX which is based on that platform, and other Lexus vehicles that share the new CVT. It has a traditional first gear for initial acceleration and does not feel at all like a CVT when you tip into the throttle.

No idea how the Toyota is packaged, but the UX is either FWD gas-only, or AWD hybrid-only.

The Toyota’s powertrains are, AFAIK:
1.2T (8NR-FTS) FWD 6-speed manual
1.2T (8NR-FTS) FWD CVT
1.2T (8NR-FTS) AWD CVT
2.0 (3ZR-FAE) FWD CVT (what the US gets)
1.8 (2ZR-FXE) FWD hybrid
Contrast with the Lexus UX:
2.0 (M20A-FKS) FWD CVT
2.0 (M20A-FKS) AWD CVT
2.0 (M20A-FXS) FWD hybrid (unavailable in the US AFAIK)
2.0 (M20A-FXS) AWD hybrid

The UX has only the powertrain options I mentioned in the US.
One engine, and either FWD gas, or AWD hybrid.
