The “kinja deal” on the front page points you to some chinesium lightbars (that happen to look EXACTLY like the one I got for free but with a different label). The company, MICTUNING, wants to let you know their lights aren’t built like the crummy competitors (like...pep boys? IDK) and their marketing makes sure you know it. I’ll let this image speak for itself

I’ve been looking for a rocky-solidity lightbar. Adding that Jerry didn’t build it is just icing on the cake.

My favourite Chinesium part (aside from Dickass Automotive ) has to be Maikuni Carburetors. The name is clearly “inspired” by Mikuni.
I guess to Maikuni’s credit they do look like a higher end Chinese carb. And they’re pretty enough that I’d buy one just to display somewhere.

Well I for one am glad to see that these are made from bulk cylinders of aluminum, and not from a rusty pile of arc welding rods. Rocky-solidity indeed.
Now if only that red text didn’t hurt my eyes nearly as much as a poorly-aimed light bar...

At my place of work - right next to my desk, actually - the circuit board repair area features a Hakko soldering iron (legit) and a Quakko air desoldering tool (not so legit). Logo and product design intentionally similar, obviously, if not on the “Maikuni” level.
Fun facts: if you attempt to search for quakko, the search engine thinks you mean “Quokka”, because obviously.
