No dyno numbers yet. Water-to-air intercooler sandwiched under the supercharger. 20psi of boost. Makes enough power that a short drive resulted in two blown up mufflers and a melted rear bumper.

It’s Iron Man, but with a supercharger instead of an Arc Reactor.
Dibs on this for my 2019 Halloween costume :D

I love this way more than I should

This is not the right way to make more power on a 3800.
Sincerely, the guy who has broken the GM 1" race chain (and way too many axles) without melting the rear.

How much power does the colander mod add??

Yes it is.

You broke something besides the axles and had to make a huge hole in the hood. That automatically makes it the wrong way.

The axles are custom, as well as much of the interior and engine internals. This is like, the fifth revision of this Riviera. The builder has been going ham on just this one car for about 15 years now.

... he’s been at it 15 years and still blows out mufflers and melts bumpers?
smdh.

Muffler failed in a weird way and ballooned up which tilted the outlet up at the bumper. You got a chip on your shoulder or something?

This thing is nuts.
I’ve got some Riv pics somewhere I should dig up. Entertaining, but n owhere near as crazy as this.

That’s just about right.

Nice. Probably because of better flow.

Why does this make me giggle?
![]() 11/30/2018 at 08:59 |

Because it is thoroughly absurd

Wait....is this “Turtle” from the rivperformance forums?

Yup. Codith’s masterpiece. He also has build threads on TheChicagoGarage, which is where most of the super technical 3800 people hang out.

Well sweet jesus, good to see that thing is still getting abused. Last I saw of it, he was doing a 3.9L swap from a G6 or something. Or maybe that was someone else?

I think codith has been sticking with the L67 the whole time. He did have a second Riv at one point so maybe it was that one?
