It has a Fabspeed exhaust supposedly...but there are no pictures of it

+1 for Fabspeed. The 997 disaster that I almost bought had one and it sounded awesome.

Eh . FabSpeed is super overpriced even for Porsche, IMO, except their catalytic converter setups. (Nobody else I would trust there besides myself.)
But man, that is one seriously base Turbo S.

The Story

... how the fuck did they even put it up for sale with multiple misfire and knock
unless they were deliberately looking for a sucker who wouldn’t get a PPI?

Probably going to need to come down even more than that because 991.

And so, now you have an old BMW...

It was a shifty used car dealer...I heard the engine noise but my brain ignored it because I wanted the car so bad and knew I was getting it checked out first. They guys that did the PPI were awesome though, they brought me back and show me all of the stuff that was shitt about it. Terribly painted calipers etc...
All in all it was a positive experience. I learned to think with my head a little more when buying a car and I made a great inde contact close to my house. The inde shop that I had used for years for the M3 really lost their attention to detail. Even though the place I took the 997 for the PPI is primarily a Porsche shop they handle lots of Euros cars and really did me a solid when I took my M3 in the first time. They’ll get the 1502 also if there is something I need help with.

Yep! One door closes, another opens! Two old BMW’s if you count the E46 as old.

Oh, those are even worse.. the BHPH “we finance anyone” lots that buy a junker at auction for the express purpose of conning someone into a loan they can’t afford on a car they know they’ll repo, but hey, looks good on the lot and brings people in! There’s one near me that keeps a Boxster out front. IMS year? You betcha. Mileage? “Not actual.” Title? Double salvage .
I would kill to have a decent indy near my house. And I sorta do. They’re a good shop, but their Porsche master doesn’t have the torque wrench to do centerlocks.
![]() 11/29/2018 at 15:20 |

What have you got with center locks?

997.2 C4GTS. The hubs are literally RSR parts. Unfortunately, silver wheel optioned (standard was black for GTS,) which means they need the gray locking bolts that all have bad anodizing and fade/discolor.

“997.2 C4GTS”
Oh dayum, I could tell that you had a 997 from your icon, but I didn’t know it was like that. That is the sex.

Sounds like an idiot who’s buying it as an ‘investment.’ Probably no PPI either.
