Douche in an S-Class drives on the shoulder to beat traffic and gets what he deserves.

Oh thats satisfying one time my dad was driving though Connecticut and we were passed my an E36, and Audi TT racing each other . Like they weren’t messing around. Probably doing 30mph faster than traffic which was already doing 15 over. swerving between cars, driving on the shoulder. I’ll admit 18 year old me was super jealous of them, and wished I could join in. But about 20 miles down the road we caught up to them, both pulled over.

I saw a douche in a Cadillac do that on the right shoulder on Tuesday. I could blame it on Houston, but really, I’ve only seen once in the past year. There’s usually too much debris and too many broken-down cars on the shoulder for anyone to drive there.

I may be giving them too much credit, but it looks as if the Highlander driver saw them coming in their rearview and moved over towards the shoulder to block their view of the Rozzer ahead.

Hmmm...re-watched it. Perhaps, perhaps not. In any case Karma was served.

What’s with the license plate? Black euro style “SAUD”

Very texas.

Also I’m going to guess that S-Class has about 1.2 million nails in those tires. (Or at least I’ve always assumed driving on the shoulder you’re going to pick up a bunch of road garbage in your tires.)

It’s an S Class so good chance it’s a MiddleEast Douchebro- SAUD= Saudi? Definitely illegal. Hope he got a big-ass ticket for that too.

He has enough “fuck you” and “fuck it” money to not care, I would think.

Average day on Houston freeways.

Heh, this exact same situation happened to me and my buddy about a month ago when a motorcyclist (hog) decided to pass everyone on the shoulder. There was a cop 2 cars in front of us, so we had a great view.
OTOH in that same trip (seriously!) I witnessed a dude sitting in his toyota tacoma that had just been rear ended by someone hard enough that he had hit the guy in front of him. All four wheels were off the ground on the Tacoma, suspended in the air between the car behind him and the car in front of him. Guy was just chilling in his vehicle looking at his ceiling with an “Ffffuuuuuuuuuuu!!” expression. I felt bad for that guy, i’m sure the accident wasn’t his fault.

You don’t say?

That is probably fair. At the very least we can hope it causes him further inconvenience .

Houston has a lot of consulate offices in the area. probably some diplomat’s spoiled brat .

I’ve pretty much accepted I’m going to die on my commute one day. The question by what hazard exactly.
Bike flying off the top of a 6’ tall pile of junk piled up in the back of a pickup truck . (Saw this back in May).
Loose t ool flying off someone’s work truck (nearly got m e two years ago).
Or maybe the complete lack of any sense of right-of-way that people seem to lack here.
Big cities suck to drive in.

Ballin on a budget in a W221, not what I would expect in this gilded age, especially in a place with the socio-economic gap of TX.

The only way to be safe is to have our Lord and Savior Jesus as your copilot.

Maybe enough to buy his way out of justice?
Although this is far from a six figure car now.

No, the only way to be safe in Houston is DON’T FUCKING DRIVE IN TEXAS BECAUSE NOBODY IN THAT STATE KNOWS HOW TO DRIVE.

I’ve only seen one fire so far. It was a tractor-trailer and it burned to the ground.

99% of drivers in Texas give the other 1% a bad name. It’s unfortunate really.

I once saw a guy in an old Astro Van driving on the shoulder of the 110 near Downtown LA with his arm out of the window, flipping everyone off. We’ve all had those days, but that guy actually lived out the dream. I think he got off in like, one exit so I can’t say what happened from the situation.

Hey, I used to sit in that traffic every fucking day! It’s really impressive how poorly Houston drivers handle a pretty simple and well-signed highway split, but, no, you have people cutting across the gore at the split all the time, and accidents with pretty high frequency.
In fairness to Houston’s idiot drivers though, even they seemed smart enough to not go down the breakdown lane there, it’s not something I saw often.

It’s ok, it has run-flat tires. ;)
