I got a hammer drill (rigid) a little while ago, and used the hammer function for the first time yesterday. It was amazing

If it’s a Craftsman, do a background check on her?

I’ve seen tool gifts go far worse.
“Happy Birthday! I bought this impact wrench while you were changing the struts. Now you won’t have to fight those nuts!”
“You had this in your possession WHILE I WAS FIGHTING THE NUTS!?!?”

Nice! I like my Ryobi stuff thus far.
The 1/2 impact still has the free battery and charger combo on homedepot.com

I have had that set for a few years now. I've put the drill through hell, and it never skips a beat. Invest in at least one of the 4ah batteries, though. The ones it comes with are okay, but the big boi lasts forever!

We have a cordless
Ryobi drill/driver thing at work. 3-4 years old and despite all the abuse the sales and purchasing coworkers
put it through, it’s still going (knock on wood). If only the same associates wouldn’t misplace the damn bits every time they use it...

Either she’s great (hopefully), or she’s guilty of something and trying to atone for it without admitting something.
I hope the first. I’m a hopeless and optimistic romantic.

Eh, my Ryobi outlasted both my Dewalt and Milwaukee I had prior. Only reason it got retired is because I can’t buy batteries for it anymore.

If she loved you, she would of got you the 1/2" impact “wrench”, and not the impact driver.
Seriously, if you don’t have one, buy yourself one. It’s one of those tools that saves me the most time.

Get the batteries rebuilt they'll work better than new.

The one battery that still charges I kept, along with the LED spotlight.
Replaced the drill/impact driver with a “good” Milwaukee set, so we’ll see how it goes.
