I figured based on some of the stories here of Fedex screwups that some folks here might enjoy my saga of dealing with Cintas.
I started my job at the end of August and was fitted for my uniform the first Tuesday in September. The plan was I’d get 6 long sleeve shirts, 7 short sleeve shirts, 13 pairs of pants, and 2 jackets. I was told they’d be delivered in about two weeks. That didn’t happen.
Four weeks after the fitting the driver informed us they had made my uniforms but managed to lose them before delivery.
Six weeks after; still no uniforms but a promise they’d be in soon.
Eight weeks after fitting I get the pants and 13 short sleeve shirts. Still no jackets and no long sleeve shirts.
The next week they deliver 13 more pants I’m not supposed to have, 6 more short sleeve shirts I shouldn’t have, and one jacket in the wrong size. I return the pants and extra shirts but am told to keep the jacket till I get the ones in the right size. It was one size too big so at least I could’ve worn it if needed.
Two weeks later I get another full set of shirts, but at least this set includes the long sleeve shirts. Oh and I get a second jacket in a whole different wrong size than the first. This one was a large-short, and since I’m 6-4 and 240lbs that wasn’t going to work.
Now, this week and I got still more shirts I shouldn’t have, two jackets (finally the right size), and yet another jacket in an incorrect size.
I’ve never had good luck with uniform companies, but this is pathetic. Basically I’ve had 26 pairs of pants, 32 shirts, and 5 jackets delivered to me.

And this is literally what they do. And they fuck that up. Wow.

I’m just glad we don’t have their “business services” where they deliver things like toilet paper and first aid items. I’d probably have to wipe with gauze.

I’m always amused when I see customers outsource these type of services only to have constant problems where none occurred before. And management is totally oblivious.

But we save $0.08 a year by having Cintas bring us our rolls of 1/2 ply toilet paper instead of just ordering it ourselves!!

I’m sorry for your frustration but that’s effing hilarious.

For awhile I was getting angry. It was even worse watching new employees get their uniforms first, and in most cases they were even right.
Now I’m excited to see what I’ll get next week. I’m hoping they deliver me some shirts in the wrong color.

Oh, after a few more months you’ll finally get enough uniform clothes that you’ll be set. You’ll have to wash them yourself, though. If you let them wash your uniforms they’ll come back so stiff with starch that they’ll be able to stand up all by themselves.
Which, come to think about it, might come in handy if your supervisor isn’t too attentive.
So where were you yesterday, K.P.? How come you didn’t call in?
What do you mean? I was right here at work.
I didn’t see you come in.
I did. When I came in he was standing right over
there (points). I said “hello” but I guess he didn’t hear me.
Oh, you saw him? Guess I wasn’t paying attention.
Never mind
then!

Plus the surest way to have your uniforms be ruined and shrunk 4 sizes is too small is to let the pros wash them.
Oh, that load had 30 ink pens in different colors left in the pockets. That’s not a problem because we’ll wash them in 210degree water.

Don’t say anything, maybe they’ll eventually send you enough to go a whole year without laundry.*
*I actually once worked for someone that did almost that, he had something like 90 uniform shirts and 90 pairs of pants/shorts, so he didn’t have to do laundry. When his wife went on a longish vacation with the kids and he couldn’t go too (she was a teacher with the summer off , it was his busy season), his answer was to keep buying more underwear from Walmart and left a giant pile of laundry waiting for her when she got back.

I have kept the last round of extra shirts. I told my boss to let me know if they’re billed for them. If they are I’ll return them; if not I’ll keep them.

Its impressive how they manage to be both incompetent and crooked simultaneously...
At my old company all the engineers had Cintas jackets to wear when we were on the shop floor ( story was that it made any intruders such as escaped inmates from the nearby jail easier to spot...) We got rid of them quick after someone did an audit and discovered Cintas had been billing us for weekly laundry on every single one of them despite the fact we never got them dirty! The one time I did put mine in it disappeared for a month so I didn't try that again.

My wife would've smothered me with those clothes.

Your company was paying for the rental of the jackets, not the laundering portion which is included in the overall service. It’s like renting a car and not driving it but getting upset that they are charging you.

I worked at Cintas for 2 years

That is that is one of the MANY reasons why I quit working for Cintas. After a while you run out of excuses to tell the customer. That company is a circus ran by a group of clowns.

My wife worked there briefly as an accounting temp. Based on how much of a shitshow she said that department was I can only imagine how it would be everywhere else.

Could be, that was just the story I heard, that and our purchasing people were pissed at Cintas.
Regardless we all got shitty windbreakerers super fast after that.

HAHAHAHA HAHAHA!!!!!!!!! This is all too relatable for me. We have had 4 different uniform companies at the place I work. My stuff is all fucked up. I don't think we ever had an issue THAT bad though.
