As some of you know I like window shopping for cars. Every once and awhile I like to see where the Evo X market is at, for science.

I found something rare today an EvoX in a color!. Usually they are White, grey, or black. And unforutnatly the black ones are often BLAAAACK completely murdered out, which looks aw ful. Occasionally theres a a blue, one but IDk if Ive ever seen a Red one. and this one is a nice grown up looking, cinnamon red. Its called Rally Red Metallic. I like it

unfortunately thats the case. If you want a clean title, or under 100,000 miles yor’re paying over 20k.

And compared to my 328i at half the price, it just doesn’t seem worth it. I mean they are obviously cool cars, but I’d rather sit in a BMW than a Mitsubishi. Heck for the same, or a bit less money you can get a 335i E90 and have a faster car, on dry pavement anyway.

You don’t realize how cheap the interior is until you really get a good look and it’s a real turn off for me. I always liked the idea of an EVO more than the execution.

I like the idea, but the hype ruins it. If they were priced according to their worth, like old DSMs are now, I’d buy one

I’ve been behind the wheel in a ton of STi’s and a few EVO’s. While I like the Subaru’s better overall, the steering in the EVO is spot on! The brakes are better too. I’d go as far to say that the rack in the EVO is #3 on my list behind a 911, and E9X M3s.

Same goes for the STi, people just pay stupid money for these things. While I got a “great” price on mine, it was basically the highest I would ever pay and only got lucky that it wasnt broken.

It’s good! The interiors are poop and I’ve come from camp Subaru, that combined with the prices has kept one out of my drive way. But everyone and their brother has a Subaru, and I really like the EVO 8. An EVO is kind of in the same “itch to scratch” class as an S2000 for me, right place/time/price and I’d snatch one up.

Yep, I’ve been so close twice, back when you could get one for a fair price. The first time I bought an STi and the second time I bought the M3.

I love the Evo but man, they are made of glass. Unless the maintenance has been religious and it hasn’t been modified, run away. Not to mention that a parking lot ding is totalled. There are so many around with salvage titles that the Lotus Elise is jealous.

Having said all of that - I’d take it over an STI every time.
