2005 Subaru Legacy STI Wagon. I found it last year in Wellington , and running the plate through New Zealand’s version of CarFax shows that it is indeed a factory STI. Only problem is, I can’t seem to find a damn thing on them online, save for this !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! . Anybody got any good resouces on them or know anything about them? All I can find is stuff on newer ones that have other sporty trims (GT/Spec B/S402/American homemade STI tributes).

Almost certainly a JDM import. NZ is full of them.

And that is why Google-fu often fails with Japanese stuff. Might be easier to page Flavien...

The wheels are a bit of a giveaway. Only Japan cars got that style from the factory, and the Legacy’s bolt pattern and spacing means the Impreza faced wheels wont fit properly. I spent quite a bit of time browsing NASIOC back in the day.

Kinja'd!!! HFV has no HFV. But somehow has 2 motorcycles > WilliamsSW

the page you linked is pretty much all the info there is. It’s either a JDM or a local Legacy Sti. My money is its just a lightly breathed on ECU and some suspension changes.

That’s because the only authoritative source for the STIs is Subaru themselves, and any documentation they have is exclusively in Japanese. Anything that  wasn’t sold outside of Japan, there’s no translations.

Pretty sure this is a 2005 Legacy Touring Wagon 2.0GT spec.B Tuned by STI . The badge looks to be correct:

Kinja'd!!!

Basically, its a 2.0GT spec.B with some of the STI parts catalog added, 18" STI wheels, Brembo brakes, and interior upgrades. There was no upgrades to the engine, but their spec.B had 280hp (claimed) over our 250hp 2.5GT spec.B.

Autoblog covered the 2006 version, which I believe is largely the same. The badge changed though.

Autoblog claimed that 600 were to be produced in 2006, split between sedan and wagon; I’d assume that this was similar for other years.

There are several listed for sale on Goo-Net , too. Here’s one :
