You have a rental car? Go see Red Rocks park. Always a bunch of people in hot cars racing around, not in the park!!!!!, around there. Stop at any gas station out there for 10 minutes and you’ll get some car spotting in.

Welcome to America. If you want to see more weird shit there is an old ghost town from the early 1900's in Rhyolite, NV. Most of the buildings are destroyed but the Bottle House and the train station are mostly still there. Gold rush built a quick town and it collapsed within 2-3 years time and was largely abandoned.

You can go Northwest and find Suger Bunker, an abandoned chemical explosives storage area. Keep going North to tour the Sedan Crater. A 4oom wide 100m deep hole in the desert floor resulting from a nuclear test in the early 60's. Apparently safe to visit, at the time it exposed 13 million people to fallout. This whole area is filled with craters from bomb tests though. Looks like the surface of the moon on satellite imagery.

At this point you’re getting close to Area 51 so might as well take stab at it, might let you in , might arrest you for espionage.

I remember when I was in Vegas. My mother rented an ‘08 Mustang convertible in cherry red, the perfect car for blasting around the Nevada desert in the middle of February. If you want to, head south and visit the Hoover Dam. Hope you brought a tripod or a friend so you can get a picture of you straddling the state line between Arizona and Nevada (just one of those little things...)

Exactly how I feel. I won’t be going back any time soon. I was there for 7 days, was an awful lot.

I’m not sure how much I care about pinball, but I do wish I’d seen this while I was still there!

Oh! I did do In-N-Out. Hated it. We got better burgers with better fries in Melbourne, and my god it’s cheaper . I did get a root beer float which was pretty nuts.

Yeah it’s garbage. It’s very impressive but you get a bit over it. We got better food with better beers in Melbourne, and it’s a shitload cheaper too.

Lol Vegas isn’t a good representation of America. I mean it is in some ways, because it’s an exaggeration of the commercialism and consumerism that is eating away at the bedrock of our society, but there’re many positive aspects of America. Most of which you have to ignore pop culture to appreciate .
