These meatless chicken-like strips  really have a decent texture that’s similar to chicken. The only downside is they have very little flavor by themselves. While cooking it per the instructions, be sure to add some sort of seasoning. I like it with Badia Complete Seasoning or Low ry’s Seasoning Salt. I’m going to start a diet soon and I think these may become a staple.

I ate these when I dated a vegan girl. Didn’t last a month before I broke up with her. Life is too short to eat disappointing food.

meatless chicken strips?

if it’s meatless, it aint chicken.

i won’t touch crap like that in a million years, you need meat as part of a balanced diet.

I’m not going vegetarian, I still like meat. But I’ve found these kinds of foods are helpful when you’re trying to diet. Only if they’re good, though. These taste pretty good when they’re seasoned and they’re convenient.

These aren’t disappointing, though. I was pleasantly surprised. And I’m not going to give up meat altogether, I’m just looking for something different to add to my options.

Most of the time meat substitutes are weird and have weird flavors. These get the texture right, and because they’re unseasoned you can add whatever you want and make them work with just about anything. They actually taste  pretty good once they’re seasoned. Even unseasoned they’re not terrible, it’s just a little odd because it has all the texture and look of a piece of chicken but the smell and flavor is more like fried bread.

Soy and grain. They are not gluten free, if that’s of any concern.

No. May have to try them, just as an easy option in the freezer.

That’s one of the reasons I tried them. They cook from frozen in 6 minutes.
