So in the “what car should I buy” Jalop article, I came across and suggested this

as a joke.
It’s also listed

and

I have sneaky suspicion that the $11,000 asking price is crack pipe.
I also suspect the seller is an idiot given they claim a rotary car like this is “cheap on gas”.
And the issues of the missing fuel filler door and mismatched front and rear wheels go unaddressed. The lack of interior,
engine bay and rear end pictures (trying to hide that it’s not an original RX3 but actually an 808 with a later rotary swapped in
perhaps?)
is also a giant red flag.

Cool car... but yeah that seems high for something that has clearly led a rough life.
Also it may be cheap on gas... not so much on oil haha.

Regardless of what it actually is (and I think you're right)...those ads are making much of CL look extremely detailed.

The price may be crack pipe, and mismatched wheels and other little things concerning, but the bodywork looks remarkably clean and rust free, but doesn't really have that shiny/no sharp creases look of a quickie Bondo smooth over and paint job.

Ten years ago. I used to drive a ratty Rx2 coupe around the Seattle area
. Would regularly get people offering me 6-
