Who needs a fleet of vehicles when you have this one?
Seems Oppo-worthy . Steve McQueen’s MB sold at auction for $108k. I’m a bit surprised it wasn’t even more expensive.

i cant imagine how it would go down if some of us oppos with lots of old junk laying around were to kick off. mind you most of us are not famous, so we have that at least working for us. but i could almost hear it now “up next for auction is one of Die Trying’s vw beetles, of which he owned 32 at his untimely passing(passed everything in sight) ...... he took the NICE one with him”.......... “ran when parked, suddenly ”.........
imagine though, getting to be THE GUY to drive the STEVE JEEP everywhere, and GET to say “i used up the last bit of good out of it. i squeezed all the life out of it, that is all there is, and aint no more”

I bet at $108,000 the seller probably broke even after he had the restoration done. Too many people pay in excess of 6 figures for restorations.
