A 24 hour dirt track enduro race. I am intrigued. Maybe I can talk some of my new coworkers into going. I’d love to take part but doubt I could get a team together.

I love dirt track racing. I love endurance racing. These two should never, ever g o together. A few hours worth of racing with many, many hours of cautions and stoppages doesn’t sound appealing. Just my opinion though. I'll say it is highly ambitious to say the least.

I am definitely intrigued. If nothing else I’m curious what kinds of cars people will end out bringing to take part. I’ve been trying to decide what I think would be a great option to use and I’m still not quite sure. You need something with enough power to keep up with the pack and enough fuel capacity/mileage to make use of the 3 hour window between red flags with minimum stops.

Plus, there’s the sheer insanity that they’re hoping  to get as many as 150 vehicles. It’s only a 3/8 mile track!

The dirt track racing I’ve been to are run in 3-30 lap heats with 5-20 minutes between heats. I think that pacing is just about right.

I can’t imagine sitting and watching continuous dirt track racing for more than 30 minutes.
