I was too distracted by the spectacular color on this Wrangler to notice and be appalled by the angry grille I now spy.

I’m curious: what resources do y’all use for researching factory colors on cars of interest? Or am I the only person who does this on a regular basis?

I use !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , but it’s a little clunky and I’m not confident it lists everything, and it doesn’t have photos of every Wrangler color. Regardless, I’m pretty sure this isn’t factory, but it looked great.

Now now, Jeeps look great with bright colors, at least when the hard top isn’t color matched. That’s the true crime.

If GTCarlot is correct , they have only had one year of any color with “aqua” in the name since 1988: Aqua Pearl in 1995 . Sad.

The highlight color (below) does look a lot like the one I shot.

No, it’s not factory. It’s a wrap or something. The door hinges are the giveaway. They’re the factory color.

I like the idea of the hinges matching the roof for added contrast (no, don’t go there) .

I’m a big fan of contrast; I absolutely hate color-matched roofs on Wranglers .

Too bright for a mint, I think. The seafoam suggestion others have made seems the closest match.

B ased on the photo of a 1995 Wrangler I pasted elsewhere in the comments, it seems like that’s the highlight color for Aqua Pearl; the primary color is much darker, only the Jeep stamp itself is that bright blue.

Pretty sure, as others have said, it’s a seafoam wrap. Wish I’d talked to the owner.
